Dimensional Wood and HDU Sign and Plaque Specialist., We specialize on designing and building custom dimensional wood and HDU signs and plaques for businesses (especially wineries, pubs and restaurants), residences, government facilities, golf courses, parks, churches, apartments, condominiums, offices, RVs and yachts at affordable prices. We make signs and plaques ranging from 6 inches to 14 feet in width.). Our materials include High Density Urethane, most softwoods and hardwoods, and Extira board. Dimensional signs have a beauty and elegance flat signs do not achieve. Our dimensional signs are made by one or more of these three methods :(1)letters, borders and artwork elevated over the background, by removing the background through sandblasting or routing ; or (2) letters, borders and art engraved, or carved into the sign's face letters and artwork by hand-carving, routing, or sandblasting (3) epoxying separate cut-out, hand-carved or machine-carved art sculptures, borders or letters as appliques on the sign's surface. This latter technique can combine HDU appliques with a natural wood signboard.

Sign Hangers, Stands, Frames, Supports and Installation. The Redwood, Cedar and HDU signs can be mounted on your own sign stand, or we can supply hand-made wrought-iron stands designed specifically for your sign (see Product Line 7) enabling very simple and low cost installation. We also make wood posts, finials, lateral beams, and internal steel and wood box structures for double-faced signs. We will also install our signs in the Southern California area if you wish.

Ceramic Signs and Plaques. Our ceramic signs and plaques (Product Line 5) are personalized with your choice of text or number font styles, and we offer you a good selection of artwork. These plaques are hand-painted with colorful glazes over-coated with a clear fired glaze. The plaques can be used either outdoors or indoors. These can be ordered with an optional attractive wrought-iron frame (choice of four styles). We have two sizes of ceramic plaques, 14 inches by 11 inches and 8 inches by 6 inches. These come with hooks and can be placed on an outside wall, pillar, next to or on a door, or inside on a wall.

Custom Designs for Small and Medium Signs & Plaques. We offer you the quality and distinction of a custom sign at a price often lower than that of a "cookie-cutter" sign or plaque. If you want a specific sign or plaque (e.g., "I want a 16 inch by 18 inch wall plaque with a dark green background and gold border with a picture of a football and a goal post and my son's school emblem in its colors, above it, and his name engraved on it with a bold font with the caption "Most Valuable Player of the Year-2007"), WE CAN DESIGN AND MAKE YOUR SMALL CUSTOM SIGN OR PLAQUE for the cost of a standard plaque, unlike traditional on-line sign and plaque makers who have standard shapes, colors, fonts and emblems. Ask us - if we are supplied pictures of specific art such as photos, drawings, sketches, logos and emblems, we can design a custom plaque or sign for you at a very reasonable cost. Just because you can't find exactly what you are looking for in the Product Gallery doesn't mean that we can't design and make it for you. We develop color, realistic proofs (sometimes several of them showing different design variations) so you can see EXACTLY what your sign will look like before you order it.

If you want "hands-on" involvement in selecting sign shape, colors, font, art and layout, use the Product Catalogs; it will take you more time but you will have a broader selection of design features to choose from. There you can download that Catalog and Art Appendices, browse through it and select your design features (size, shape, color, font style, artwork).

Large Signs for Commercial Customers, both wholesale (to Sign Shops & other Sign Retailers) and retail (to direct end users). In addition to smaller signs, We also build large wood or HDU dimensional signs and painted/vinyl flat MDO signs. We make signs up to 14 ft x 8 ft, and can ship these across the country. Product Line 8 , Product Line 9 , and some of the Application Galleries also show these larger signs. For large signs, we can work closely with our commercial clients to develop a design that will meet their requirements and stylistic preferences, or in most cases, we build-to-print someone else's design. Consulting with us and developing the initial design is free. We will give you a firm price after we consult with you to determine your needs. We design and build dimensional signs ranging from simple sand-blasted text and art to complex and elaborate signs with one or more of the following: large and detailed hand-carved/sculptured, hand-painted or gold-leaf-gilded art; cut-out letters; hand-carved incised (engraved) gold-leaf-gilded letters; elaborate sculptures or carvings used as appliqués ; multi-level signs; antique rustic signs from aged barnwood; unique sign shapes or structure; internal steel box structure; adaptors to attach sign to monument base, posts, or wall; etc). Large Custom signs take up to 7 days for initial PROOF design and 2 to 4 weeks for detailed design and fabrication. For Southern California (San Diego/greater Los Angeles area) only, we can also built the support structure and install your sign.
